At Robert Frost Middle School, it is our vision that students will be provided the opportunities to develop the skills that will ensure a lifetime of learning and success.

 

It is no longer enough to be a knowledgeable person. There is so much information available today that we, as teachers, must provide an education for students that will equip them for a more globally competitive workplace. We must develop the skills students need to analyze, process, and evaluate information. The work force in today requires skills that only ten years ago were attributed only to those with a post-secondary education.

 

Students pursuing a post-secondary education or entering the work force will need the writing and communication skills that will make them viable in a 21st Century work force. As teachers, one of our most important challenges is motivating students. Our priority is to provide students with learning opportunities that will give them a meaningful experience with activities and complex problems that allow for critical thinking.
