Dress Code

DRESS CODE
SCHOOL UNIFORM

All dress attire is to be appropriate and safe for school. Any clothing or accessory which attracts unusual attention is not appropriate. Students are also expected to care for their personal cleanliness and hygiene.

  1. PANTS/SHORTS/SKIRTS/SKORTS:
    1. Color: Only Navy Blue, Black or Beige/tan pants/shorts, skirts/skorts. Solid color only. No stripes, stars, zippers, or other patterns or writing anywhere on garment.
    2. Style: Fitted at the waist. Fitted legs. IMPORTANT!! Pants and shorts may not be more than one size too large or too tight (form fitting).
    3. Fabric: No denim, Levis or jeans of any color, including stretch or shiny denim or sleepware fabrics such as flannel, or sweat or jogging fabrics allowed.
      1. No sweats or jogging suits. No Overalls.
    4. Length: Pants must be hemmed at least one inch above the ground. No sagging.
      1. Shorts must reach the top of the knee. When wearing shorts, socks cannot be pulled up to the knees.

  2. BELTS:
    1. Style: Belts must not be more than one size too large and may not hang more than 3" from the appropriate belt loop and cannot contain any initial or insignia.

  3. POLO SHIRTS: NO BLOUSES OR SHIRTS WITH BUTTONS DOWN THE FRONT
    1. Color: Navy Blue, White (with or without school logo). No other logos, labels or pictures.
    2. Style: Must have a collar and no more than 3 buttons; NO form fitting OR stretchy material and must extend below the waist. Must have short or long sleeves. NO UNDERSHIRTS HANGING OUT.
      1. All turtleneck tops must be worn UNDER the polo shirt. The polo shirt must be visible.
      2. NO RUBBER BANDS ON BACK OF SLEEVES OR SHIRT.
      3. No bare midriffs.
      4. P.E. CLOTHES MAY NOT BE WORN OUTSIDE OF P.E. CLASS.

  4. OUTERWEAR:
    1. Style: No outerwear identifying a professional team, college team, or community team is allowed. Button shirts may NOT be worn as jackets.

  5. SHOES:
    1. Style: No open-toed shoes, slippers, or sandals without a back strap are allowed. Heels or platforms of more than 1-1/2" are not permitted.

  6. HATS, HAIR:
    1. Style: No punk-rock or gang associated hair styles/colors of any kind. No shaved heads. No glitter or color in the hair. No scarfs or bandanas of any kind are to be worn, or attached to clothing or backpacks. Navy blue caps with visors may be worn ONLY for sun safety. NO OUTRAGEOUS HAIRSTYLES.

  7. ACCESSORIES:
    1. Style: No gang-related make-up or heavy eye make-up. No glitter on the face, body.
    2. NO PIERCING OF BODY PARTS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF EARS.
    3. NO SPIKES, SAFETY PINS OR OTHER SHARP OBJECTS ARE PERMITTED.
    4. BOYS: Only small unobstructive stud earrings permitted to be worn.
    5. GIRLS: No hoop earrings larger than 1" in diameter.

  8. JEANS AND UNIFORM SHIRTS – ONLY WHEN ANNOUNCED
    1. Jeans means Blue Jeans only. No rips tears or logos

  9. Free dress and theme dress days with guidelines to be announced.

THE ADMINISTRATION RESERVES THE RIGHT, WHEN NECESSARY, TO ADD OTHER ITEMS TO THIS LIST, ESPECIALLY ANY AND ALL ITEMS WHICH BECOME ASSOCIATED WITH GANG MEMBERSHIP AND/OR AFFECTS THE SAFETY AND/OR SECURITY OF OUR STUDENTS.
